Iran’s highest peak is an extinct volcano Damavand 5671 meters high lying in the highest mountain of Iran Elborz in the Iranian province of Mazandaran, about 50 km southward from the Caspian Sea and 60 km eastward from the capital city of Tehran. And this panoramic mountain will be the main goal of our trekking expedition into this country. As an acclimatization we have chosen trekking near Iran’s second highest mountain – Mount Alam Khu 4850 meters high which is also planned as part of our acclimatization climb. After successful treks we will relax in the hot springs in the village Reyneh and at the end of our journey through former Persia we will look into the most beautiful cities of the once most powerful empire in the world.
