Expedition Mera Peak 6654 m – Nepal

Mera Peak with its height of 6654 meters is the highest trekking peak in the Nepal Himalayas and the view from its top belongs to one of the most beautiful and most impressive throughout Nepal. Mera Peak is located in the Makalu Barun National Park, only a few kilometers eastward from the highest mountain of the planet, the majestic Mt. Everest that we will have during the final ascent to the top at our fingertips.

The ascent requires superior acclimatization and good physical condition and therefore is designed for fit trekkers who already have experience in the high mountains. For greater convenience and especially the greater likelihood of a successful ascent to the top we organize this trip with a support team of local porters (Sherpas), cooks, guides and excellent local food.

Programme:

1st to 2nd day: Transportation by air from Europe to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal.

3rd day: Rest in Kathmandu, preparation for trek.

4th day: Air transport to Lukla, beginning of the acclimatization trek.

5th – 12 day: Acclimatization trek to the area of M. Everest to Gokyo valley during which we will visit Sherpa and mountaineering trade center Namche Bazaar and we will climb to the famous panoramic top Gokyo Peak 5360 m, from which we will have beautiful views not only of four eight thousands, but also of the whole valley, return back to Lukla, relaxing day.

 13th – 23 day: Crossing the mountain pass Zatrwala to the Mera Peaks, ascent to the base camp and high camp and then to the top of the Mera Peak, return back to Lukla, flight to Kathmandu.

24th – 25 day: Visit to historic sites in Kathmandu, Monkey TempleSwayabunath, Stupa Boudhanath (UNESCO), most sacred Hindu temple Pashupatinath, Durbar Square, shopping and well-deserved rest.

26th day: Departure for Europe.

The price includes full transportation in Nepal, accommodation throughout the trip (in double rooms in hotels in Kathmandu of European standard, during acclimatization trek in simple local hotels and huts called,, lodge,, in own sleeping bags, during the ascent to Mera Peak in Sancho Tour tents), return air ticket Kathmandu – Lukla, permission to enter the Sagarmatha national Park, permission to the Makalu Barun National Park, permission to climb Mera Peak, TIMS permit, garbage deposit, services of Slovak guide, services of Nepalese guide, services of Nepalese porters and full food during the trek to Mera Peak and during ascent to the top (8 days), one-day tour of historic sites in Kathmandu, including admission fees.

The price does not include food during your stay in Kathmandu and during acclimatization trek to Gokyo (about 10 to 15 EUR / day together about 200 EUR), visa (40, – USD), insurance and other services not stated.
